Divine Reflection - II

"What has to happen by knowing God is that why does God want you to know Him? Because He wants to see His reflection in you. That is why He has created you and He wants to see His reflection in you. Same with the Goddess, She has given you Self Realization because She wants to see Her reflection in you. So you have to prepare yourself for that reflection, which is so much purer, beautiful, loving, compassionate and above all full of wisdom."
(H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Shri Krishna Puja, Cabella, 2000)

"God is in all and works through all. But His presence is better recognised in purified minds. The pure ones reflect God's actions more clearly than the impure minds."
(Ramana Maharshi, December 1938)

"The world is no more than the Beloved's single face;
In the desire of the One to know its own beauty, we exist."
(Ghalib, 19th century Urdu poet)

"When I went to the Beloved, I saw his face, and forgot all about my own beauty."
(Amir Khusrau, Persian court poet, Delhi, 1253-1325CE)

"Where one sees nothing but the One, hears nothing but the One, knows nothing but the One - there is the Infinite. Where one sees another, hears another, knows another - there is the finite. The Infinite is immortal, the finite is mortal."
(Chandogya Upanishad 7.23)

Apni chhab banaikay, jo main pi kay paas gayi

Chhab dekhi jab piyu ki so apni bhool gayi.

(When I approached God, and saw his image and the significance of my own dropped. Chab, Chabi = reflection, being used as 'face')
