Luv and Kush

There’s one more point I would like to tell you, that here there are two more small chakras, one that belongs to, which we call as the Surya. Surya is the, means the Sun, the Sun center and the another as the Moon center on the left-hand side. And these two are governed or, we can say, is bestowed upon by two great people who are the disciple elements. And disciple elements were first, were born to Shri Rama and Shri Sita as the Luv and Kush. And then they incarnated many a times on this Earth as disciple. One of them is, we can say, was Shankaracharya, another was Kabira, like that. Then we can say, before Shankaracharya, they came as Buddha and Mahavira. Then Shankaracharya and then I told you, after Shankaracharya came the advent of Hassan and Hussain, who were the grandsons of Prophet. So these have been incarnating and they have been moving from one side to another and telling people that “This is extreme, leave it, this is extreme, leave it. Come in the center and be in the center.” That has been their job and they are the ones who are sort of imparting you that awareness by you become a perfect disciple.
H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, extract from 'World of Bliss and Joy', talk at Caxton Hall, London, 30/5/79

So that’s the great part of Markandeya. He took his birth later on as Buddha, then he took his birth as Adi Shankaracharya, it’s the same personality. But he was actually the son of Rama, to begin with. He was Luv and he went to Russia and that is why they are called as Slavs. He ruled in Russia, that’s why they are called as Slavs. Another son was Kush, who went to China, that is why they are called as Kushan. Then they incarnated again and again, also as Hassan and Hussain, as Mahavira and Buddha, as Adi Shankaracharya and Jnaneshwara, like that."
(Talk, Vienna, 9/6/88)

After Shri Krishna these two persons, Buddha and Mahavira, both of them incarnated in India. As you know, their history is very far out because they were the children of Rama and they were two twins called as Luv and Kush.
(Shri Mahavira Puja, Spain, 17/6/90)

The 'God's Realisation' is the stage which, Gautam Buddha and Mahavira only had achieved and settled down in our brain. Christ is also here. These two are not incarnations. They are born as human beings. They were born to Sita, as Luva and Kusha. Then they were born as Buddha and Mahavira, and Adishakti was their Mother once again. Later on they were born to Fatimabi as Hasan and Husain. They are the two milestones you have got, by which you can know to what height a human being can rise. Now today they are like incarnations.

Shri Kartikeya and Maharashtra

1996-1221 Shri Kartikeya Puja, Mumbai

Today is a great day, I should say in a way, because I am going to tell you one thing great. That is Shri Jnaneshwara, in Marathi they call it ‘Dyaneshwara’, he was the incarnation of Kartikeya. And Saraswati, who was a virgin, she looked after him like her own son. He was the brother of Shri Ganapati but she looked after him. And then also there’s description how he was born and all those, is very interesting.

But here in this place, in this Maharashtra, he took his incarnation. And also there were many great, great, very great saints in so many numbers took place, took their birth in this Maharashtra. But such horrible people, they tortured their lives. Worse than Christian Inquisition I tell you; worse than any inquisition anywhere. Individually they attacked. And that same people are born again in this great country of Maharashtra.

They’re very talented people; they write very well. Their language is so rich. You can see that what description of a realized soul, given by Jnaneshwara, is so beautiful. He says that, “The moon doesn’t run after moonlight, the sun doesn’t run after sunlight. In that way a realized soul does not bother about his own glory. The sun shines till it shines, then it takes back all his rays. Whatever work the rays have to do they do it. And the sun is just watching, watching all the work, then he takes them back. And he gets completely contained within himself.” Samhau. Completely contained within himself.

The description he has given of realized souls is so beautiful, if you could just experience it. Namadeva said that even one line of Jnanesh(war)a, if you could experience, you had that. I wish you all could read Amritanubhava in English, understanding how he describes a realized soul, and you’ll find that within yourself it has happened. You are different from others very much. You’ll be amazed how you have got such beautiful description of your Self.

I was talking about Maharashtrians; they’re extremely talented people; see their music. In music no one can beat them. See their drama. In drama no one can beat them. You can see from films. In Maharashtra only great films were created. The another one is Bengal, which is, I would say, different but of the same level. It’s such a talented people here, it shows that God has a special blessing for these two, and, should be, Maharashtrians should rise very high. But all the time complaining about others, talking ill of others, and something very low they do. I’m surprised it, I hope you don’t pick up anything from them. And also the fussiness that is of the North Indians; that's also not a very good thing.

It’s surprising how you people [the western Sahaja yogis] have adjusted yourself to this country, which has all kinds of parasites, because you live with vibrations, you feel the vibrations. It’s something so great to see you all here, and I’m telling them that they should try to understand you people. Really I am very proud of you all who have come all the way here. In this puja I am thinking of so many great saints who were born, who were great gurus, mahagurus. Of course Gyanesh(war)a, I must say, is the king of all those high, highly evolved souls, no doubt.

So we are now having a puja on the twenty-fourth of December because it’s a Dattajayanti, Dattatreya’s birth. And so we’ll be having on the twenty-fourth night. In any case it’s a Christmas Eve. We could all start with that, and also Dattatreya, who took His form in Maharashtra. Maharashtrians understand Dattatreya. They understand the Nath Panthis. These Nathas went all over. They went to Kiev. You’ll be amazed, they went even up to Bolivia, those who are from Maharashtra, from Rahuri. Can you imagine? Such great people they were, and that is what I expect to happen in this Maharashtra. And I’m sure one day I’ll be very much happy with all of them; not few.

There are some very great Maharashtrians, no doubt, but all of them have to join together because I talk of synthesis, not of divisive method. I hope they understand the inner feeling that I have, otherwise all the good diamonds will be selected and the ones which are defective will be thrown away. What’s the use? But all of them are capable of achieving any height. They may belong to any caste, community, doesn’t matter; but they are born in Maharashtra, which is such a great country.

So today they wanted to do Mahalakshmi, this thing, we already have Mahalakshmi temple. And they have a great blessing of Mahalakshmi also, in a way, but they lack: one is the wisdom, and the second the spirit of Kartikeya. The spirit of Kartikeya - that pure, absolute dynamism which doesn’t indulge into nonsensical things and useless things; which shows results.

May God bless you all!

H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Shri Kartikeya Puja, Mumbai, 1996 (1996-1221)

Shri MahaSaraswati

When you live in the MahaSaraswati tattwa you start seeing in your daily life that you are the Whole, and we are one. So when an artist creates he makes some such things that one accepts from the heart. All the works that we do of Saraswati should be dedicated and surrendered to the Divine. If this happens then all such works will be immortal. All poems, music, songs, art forms which were offered in the name of God are still living today. Like today's film music comes and dies down. But the songs of Kabir, Jnaneshwara are still remembered. Through their self-realization they obtained the MahaSaraswati Shakti and whatever they wrote or created that light was of a unique kind. These were creations that united the world into one. One should not only move on Saraswati tattwa as this limits you. One should move on the MahaSaraswati tattwa. If Saraswati tattwa is the seed then the tree is MahaSaraswati. Till you do not make this seed into the MahaSaraswati till then you cannot merge with MahaLakshmi. The gift of MahaLakshmi within you is that you get your self-realization. All the three, MahaLakshmi, MahaSaraswati, and MahaKali, meet at Agnya.

Adi Shakti

Adi means Primordial and Shakti means Power. So Adi Shakti means Primordial Power of God. At the begining of time only these Two existed: God and His Shakti. God is the Observer and She is the embodiment of His Will, of His Dreams, of His Emotions, of His Feelings and Plans. So She started to create and with Her endless love She has created the whole universe and universes which are nothing else but a beautiful cloak which Adi Shakti has made for God to wrap Him with it and to make Him visible. (Hania, Poland)

"Shiva-Shakti is one and the same; however, there being deceptive appearance in duality in form, it is difficult even on constant thinking to know which half-part of one is combined with that of the other to form one whole. Both of them point to the essential unity in their primal form. They are the primordial parents of the universe. I bow to them to reach their true state."
(Jnaneshwara, Amritanubhava)

"I make prostration to Shiva and Parvati, who form the embodiment of all arts, whose matted crests are adorned with the crescent moon, who are to each other the mutual rewards obtained by their respective austerities, who bestow on aspirants liberation and other fruits of devotional life, who are the source of abounding good to the three worlds, who reveal themselves in forms of ever-renewing novelty with the progress of meditation, and whose experience generates supreme bliss in a mind contemplating on them."
(Shankaracharya, Sivanandalahari)

Paithan

Advice given by H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi:

"You must have felt the vibrations of this place. They are tremendous and that we should come here after so many years is really very much surprising. Ah! This place has a great connection with Me as such because My forefathers ruled in this place and this was the capital of Shalivanas called as Pratishthan and they make it easier as Paithan. They were the rulers for thousands of years. And they were the ones started this Shalivahan dynasty, actually they called themselves as Sath Vahan means seven vahanas. They represented the seven vahanas of the seven Chakras. It's surprising how it's so Sahaj. After that there was a great poet, as you know about him Gyaneshwara came here, he was born very close to this place, who was here for quite sometime and there was one fellow who was a very supraconscious person who challenged him. His name was Chandildev, so he said that what do you have with you to show that you have got God with you. And there was a male buffalo with him, male buffalo which was just walking on the road and Ganeshwara made that buffalo say Veda Mantras. And this Chandildev try to show some tricks, Jnaneshwara with his brothers and sister were sitting on a broken wall and he made the wall move with all of them in the air. And then Chandildev realised that this is some sort of an incarnation on this Earth.

Apart from that there's another great poet called Ekanath who has written lots of folk songs, like Namadeva, describing Sahaja Yoga. So this place had some sort of attractive focus of vibrations for all these great saints to come and settle down. They've excavated lots of old things about this place and the sari that is given to the Goddess here is made in this place called as Paitani. This started in the time of Shalivana and that art is still there. That's the only sari in which they use the real gold as the thread, real gold. It's for the Goddess. So this place is still very vibrating, is out of the way for the people to come down, thank God, so still maintain its own vibration, its goodness and its purity. And you are all very lucky people in this group to have come to this place and to have visited this. As you will go round you will see there is a beautiful garden next to it. The river Gothawari is called Ganga, the Ganges of the South. It starts from Nasik where you were before and then brought here and a big dam is made for the supply of water all over which you can see on your way. There is a beautiful garden near by and Ekanatha's temple is just behind here. So you can all go and have a look at it also."

Pasayadan

In the epilogue to the Jnaneshwari, known as the Pasayadan, the Maratha saint Jnaneshwara (1275-1296) desires mass-realisation for the entire world and the rebirth of the saints who will give their blessings (realisation) to the whole world.

May the all pervading Lord now be pleased
with this literary sacrifice of mine.
And being pleased may He grant me the following boon:

May the wicked give up their wickedness and develop a liking for good deeds
May all beings feel friendly with one another.
May the darkness of evil vanish
May the whole universe see the light, the sun of One Universal Religion.
May the desire of all human beings be fulfilled.

May the world be visited ceaselessly by the company of the faithful saints
Who would shower blessings on the earth.

Such men are the moving forests of Kalpataru trees
They are mines of wish-granting living jewels
They are vocal oceans of nectar.

They are moons without spots [without problems on the Ida Nadi]
suns without heat. [without problems on the Pingala Nadi]
Let such saints be friends to all.
