Mantra, Tantra, Yantra

"... tantra, as you know very well, is the mechanism of Kundalini, and the yantra is the Kundalini itself, is the machine."

H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Shri Kundalini Puja 1992

"Mantra means, what mantras to be said to raise the Kundalini, I mean to open your centers. Tantra means the mechanism, the mechanics or you can say the technique and Yantra means the mechanism. But this is after Realization."
(Miami Public Program 1990-0603)

Humility

1982-1017 Talk after Navaratri Puja from Sahaja Library

"There is a saying in Sanskrit, which is very common: Vidya vinaye na shobhate. That is, Vidya, even the knowledge, is decorated (shobhate means "gets decorations" or "is beautified”) only through humility. If there is an educated man, he has to be a humble person. If he is not a humble person, then he is not educated at all, in any way.

I don't know if I have told you a story about one saint who was meditating and was blind. And a king came there and asked him, "Did you see some people around?" He said, "Yes. Yes King, my King. Sit down. I saw your servant come in, and then your minister came in, and then the prime minister came in, and then now you have come". The King said, "You are blind, how did you know? Through your meditation?" He said "No. Commonsense". The King asked, "What is the commonsense?" He said, "First the servant came in. He said, 'What, you are bogus fellow sitting down here, wasting your time.' He gave me two, three abuses, used bad language, and said: 'Have you seen any person here?' So I said, No. Then the minister came in. He didn't abuse me, but he just asked me. Then the prime minister came. He said 'Sir' to me. ...And might have said also 'Thank you', perhaps. And then came the king. And he said that, You were extremely humble. You first touched my feet, you sat down on the mother earth, waited for me, to ask you, 'what do you want', and in a very humble way said, 'If you have heard of people around you', because I am blind, so you didn't say something that would hurt me, in such a humble way, if I could tell you. But at least hundred and eight names of the Guru you took, before you asked me this. So I know you are the learned, you are the humblest, so you must be the king."

Otherwise in those days we at least never had kings or prime ministers who were box-office actors. Even the public was so innocent that they would not accept such a nonsense, you see. So this was the difference. From this story we have to derive that the more we are learned into Vidya, into the technique of Sahaja Yoga, we have to be humble. That is our decoration, that is our certificate, that is the path into the entrance of every human being, that is the way we are going to be very close to the other seekers: to be humble, to find out ways and methods of being humble. This is the key of Nirmala Vidya.”

Adi Shakti

Adi means Primordial and Shakti means Power. So Adi Shakti means Primordial Power of God. At the begining of time only these Two existed: God and His Shakti. God is the Observer and She is the embodiment of His Will, of His Dreams, of His Emotions, of His Feelings and Plans. So She started to create and with Her endless love She has created the whole universe and universes which are nothing else but a beautiful cloak which Adi Shakti has made for God to wrap Him with it and to make Him visible. (Hania, Poland)

"Shiva-Shakti is one and the same; however, there being deceptive appearance in duality in form, it is difficult even on constant thinking to know which half-part of one is combined with that of the other to form one whole. Both of them point to the essential unity in their primal form. They are the primordial parents of the universe. I bow to them to reach their true state."
(Jnaneshwara, Amritanubhava)

"I make prostration to Shiva and Parvati, who form the embodiment of all arts, whose matted crests are adorned with the crescent moon, who are to each other the mutual rewards obtained by their respective austerities, who bestow on aspirants liberation and other fruits of devotional life, who are the source of abounding good to the three worlds, who reveal themselves in forms of ever-renewing novelty with the progress of meditation, and whose experience generates supreme bliss in a mind contemplating on them."
(Shankaracharya, Sivanandalahari)

Sanskrit

Advice given by H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Dev:

"Does everybody follow my Hindi? If I say in English will you all follow? I am not in opposition for English language, but the language of Atma is Sanskrit. They have never bothered about the Spirit. So we have to use some language which speaks about Atma. English language is not adequate enough. They do not have those experiences since so far they have not gone deep enough. We are very old ancient people. Our culture has been to know God. Everything has come in Sanskrit, because Sanskrit is really a Devavani. Apart from that, when the Kundalini moves, she makes vibrations. She makes special sounds, which are Devnagri sounds on different chakras. If I have time, I will inform you all about it.
Even when you recite mantras through the Sanskrit language or Devnagri pronunciations only, you can excite them better. Try to learn, if not Sanskrit at least Hindi, because, it being a phonetic language, it has a sound and that sound gives that vibratory effect. You try to learn this language. Hindi is not my mother tongue. My mother tongue is Marathi. I speak Hindi because after all I know the importance of Hindi. I also know a little bit of English. So it is better to know at least Hindi. What I want to say is that for speaking in Marathi is all right for me. Bengali I know a little bit. You can convey it in Tamil or Telugu or in any other language of this Yoga Bhoomi. This is a great country of Yoga. Every particle of this Bhoomi, you will be surprised, is vibrated."

Nadi Granth

The Nadi Granth was written in Sanskrit on lotus leaves possibly about 2000 years ago by the Indian astrologer, Bhrigumuni. Later updated and translated into Marathi by Acharya Kakayyar Bhujander Tatwacharya, c.300 years ago, being entitled Kak Nadi. In this extract the modern editor, Shantaram Athvale, refers to material in the Kak Nadi.

While Jupiter is in Pisces a great Yogi will reincarnate on the Earth. By 1970 it will have become quite evident to many people that a new era will have started. Kaliyuga will end and Kritayuga will start. The axis of the Earth will depress and the Earth’s orbit will come closer and closer to the Sun. Human life will undergo a complete revolution. A great Yogi will incarnate at this time.

Until this time a yogi or devotee could achieve the bliss of Moksha and find the ultimate meaning of his life only by following the path of devotion, knowledge and Patanjali Yoga, but he would have to go through severe penance in order to awaken the sleeping powers of various chakras of his body and finally enlighten the Kundalini Power.

By the new method of yoga devised by the great Yogi, human beings will be able to attain the joy of Moksha within one lifetime. It would no longer be necessary to sacrifice one’s body or to die in order to achieve Moksha. The Brahmananda, which so far only great saints had been able to experience, and then only by entering into the Samadhi state at the point of death, due to this new type of yoga could be achieved by ordinary human beings without entering Samadhi state while dying.

In the beginning it would be possible for one person among millions to attain this Yoga and Moksha, however, after some time the whole human race, with the help of this yoga, can overcome death. People won’t have to worry about food, shelter or clothing. While living ordinary lives, people will achieve Yoga - Union with God. There will be no necessity for hospitals as there will be no diseases.

In the beginning, the great Yogi will be able to heal diseases with a mere touch. Old age, with its destruction of the body, will not exist and people will possess heavenly bodies.

Due to new scientific discoveries science and religion would become one. With the help of science the existence of God and the Soul could be proved. The veil of ignorance and Maya would be drawn aside and Brahmananda, Moksha, which could previously only be attained by yogis as a result of very hard work and severe penance, would become easily available to many human beings.
