Nature

Advice given by H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi:

"In the nature one goes absolutely thoughtless. For Me it is such a pleasure to meet you all under the trees. There is a beautiful atmosphere created by these trees. How much they work hard for us - think about that. All is built-in, in them, built in to produce this chlorophyll, this greenery, and all that is built in them. But see how collective they are. You have to learn a lot from them. Every leaf is allowed to get the sun, every leaf. How they grow, how they are organized, how they behave like this, nobody thinks even - and what is it working out in them? They haven't got realization, but how do they work it out in such a beautiful manner? Because they are under the complete control of the Divine - absolutely, they don't have to worry. Even the animals are, that's why they are called as Pashu, means they are under the complete Pash. Pash is the complete control of the Divine and Shiva is called as Pashupati, He's the one who looks after all this affectionately and in a very delicate manner. All this is created for human beings. These human beings don't understand that all this world, which is created, is for the use of human beings, not for abuse - but use."
(Picnic at Richmond Park, London, 25/6/95. Sahaja Path October 2007)

"So the state that is awakened within you is called, is a new state of mind, in Sanskrit language it has a very beautiful name, Ritambhara Pragnya, which is a very difficult name. Ritambhara is the name of the Nature and that the whole Nature one feels is enlightened. ... So this special thing is your own state, where you are feeling one with Nature and the Nature is feeling oneness with you. So the Divine itself is expressing through Nature, through various happenings, through various incidents, the love, the protection, the attention that the Divine is giving – and there’s no end to it. It just happens, and people don’t know how it happens, but that is what is the state of Samadhi.”

Jogawa

H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi explains and translates the Marathi song, JOGAWA:

Saint Eknath was from Pratishthana, called as Paithan, and he is the one, who has written this Jogawa, means the Yoga and at that time he sang this in a very village language and it is sung by so many people all over the Maharastra. You can imagine that this song was written so many years back and now they have converted into a kind of a - for Sahaja Yoga - but it is a very - absolutely precisely described - what they wanted at that time. Now, in the beginning he says - the Goddess of Maharasthra was called as Baya. You will be amazed - in my childhood my name was Baya. They use to call me in my family as Baya. So, he is saying that I will ask Mother to give me the Yoga. In the villages it is said Jogawa - again he says - 'Bayecha Jogawa'.

Now 'ANANDI NIRGUNI' the one which is without any gunas has manifested this Bhawani on this earth, and She has come to kill this Mahishasura. Also she has come 'TRIVIDH TAPANCHI KARAVAYA JHADANI' to remove our three types of heating pains and now She is going to come for our Nirvana, that time he had said, he says that what I will I do when she will come for my Nirvana-Dwaitya - I have got, means I am thinking about myself as separate from God. Dwaita is that you think this world is separate from God, then I will remove this Dwaita and I will put a garland to Her and in my hand I will take the flag of enlightened knowledge (already he is describing it) and without any discrimination about cast or religion or anything I will go to visit Her. Then what I will do, for nine days I will do nine types of Bhakti of this Goddess and then I will give up all other asking or anything and I will ask for a son who is knowledge.

Then I will do (this is a lady singing, he sings like a lady) so he says that this world is full of ego, Dambha is false pride, so I will give up that kind of bad son. It is the bad son and what will I do in the paradi (basket) is the place in which you carry flowers for the God. In the paradi I will put complete enlightened knowledge and all the 'ASHA MANISHANCHA' means all the desires and all aspirations. I will finish them, completely break them. 'MANOVIKARA VIKARA KAREEN KURVANDI' all my Manovikaras, you see all the mind, which is so much conditioned; (like they say in Hindi that you take out the bad eye). So I will take out as that from my mother earth. 'AMRIT RASACHI BHAREEN ME DHURDI - basket I will be filling with the Amrit Rasa that is the ambrosia.

'AATA SAZANI' (She is telling her friend) O my friend, now I have become completely detached, Nisang, and my husband who was a doubt, I have given up living with that husband of mine, means the doubt has disappeared from me. Then she says that the 'Kama and Krodha' these two are Mang, is the one, scheduled caste people who burn the bodies and I have given them up and what ever left I have made my - I have opened out my tunnel - that is of Sushumna - see now.

Such a Yoga I have asked and kept it with me when I got it. I went to the great door and I thanked the God Almighty and I have now come out of this life and death problems.

At that time he wrote all this and today you are getting the results.

Surrender

Advice given by H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

"So many powers Mother has to have to protect her children and to look after them. These powers are all there, working relentlessly all the time - 24 hours. So anybody who surrenders to Mother, these powers express themselves and try to help you out of your problems. But first thing is surrendering. If you are not surrendered, if you are not in the kingdom of God, then this is not the responsibility of the Mother. Then it might be that some negative force might take over and destroy you".

Equal Love

"We love the brothers and sisters in Sahaja Yoga,
and we love the working women and men in our office,
and we love those walking on the street,
and we love those living in the same apartment.

It's alright if they didn't come to Sahaja Yoga,
but just remember we are all the same - all are human beings.

Human need love, so that this evolution may continue and reach the ultimate goal - Equal Love for everybody on earth."

Buddha and Mahavira

Advice given by H.H. Mataji Nirmala Devi:

"The 'God's Realisation' is the stage which, Gautam Buddha and Mahavira only had achieved and settled down in our brain. Christ is also here. These two are not incarnations. They are born as Human beings. They were born to Sita, as Luva and Kusha. Then they were born as Buddha and Mahavira, and Adishakti was their Mother once again. Later on they were born to Fatimabi as Hasan and Husain. They are the two milestones you have got, by which you can know to what height a human being can rise. Now today they are like incarnations."
(Talk on Sat-Chit-Anand, in English, New Delhi. 15/2/77. Nirmala Yoga no.2)

"So that’s the great part of Markandeya. He took his birth later on as Buddha, then he took his birth as Adi Shankaracharya, it’s the same personality. But he was actually the son of Rama, to begin with. He was Luv and he went to Russia and that is why they are called as Slavs. He ruled in Russia, that’s why they are called as Slavs. Another son was Kush, who went to China, that is why they are called as Kushan. Then they incarnated again and again, also as Hassan and Hussain, as Mahavira and Buddha, as Adi Shankaracharya and Jnaneshwara, like that."

Sanskrit

Advice given by H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Dev:

"Does everybody follow my Hindi? If I say in English will you all follow? I am not in opposition for English language, but the language of Atma is Sanskrit. They have never bothered about the Spirit. So we have to use some language which speaks about Atma. English language is not adequate enough. They do not have those experiences since so far they have not gone deep enough. We are very old ancient people. Our culture has been to know God. Everything has come in Sanskrit, because Sanskrit is really a Devavani. Apart from that, when the Kundalini moves, she makes vibrations. She makes special sounds, which are Devnagri sounds on different chakras. If I have time, I will inform you all about it.
Even when you recite mantras through the Sanskrit language or Devnagri pronunciations only, you can excite them better. Try to learn, if not Sanskrit at least Hindi, because, it being a phonetic language, it has a sound and that sound gives that vibratory effect. You try to learn this language. Hindi is not my mother tongue. My mother tongue is Marathi. I speak Hindi because after all I know the importance of Hindi. I also know a little bit of English. So it is better to know at least Hindi. What I want to say is that for speaking in Marathi is all right for me. Bengali I know a little bit. You can convey it in Tamil or Telugu or in any other language of this Yoga Bhoomi. This is a great country of Yoga. Every particle of this Bhoomi, you will be surprised, is vibrated."

Paramchaitanya

Advice given by H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi:

"The all pervading divine power is looking after you, and is giving you all this help, all the time protecting you, advising you, guiding you. And of all the things it loves you. We see all these beautiful flowers. We never even think how such beautiful flowers, different flowers of different fragrance and colour are produced by this Mother Earth. For us, we take it for granted. All living processes we take for granted. Our heart which is running we take it for granted. But actually there is a very big organization of love and compassion which we call as Paramchaitanya which does all these living things. And you have to just be connected with that - that’s all that has to happen." (Royal Albert Hall, London, 10/7/99)

"When you give bandhans, what you do is to put the chaitanya into action. In every action in everything you do, you should know, it's the Paramchaitanya that acts. Only thing is, you have to be aware of yourself, and aware that it acts. And you just jump into that awareness, and it acts. So many people, though they know it in their brains, do not know it in their hearts. And so many people who know in their hearts, do not act in their attention. So only these three things you have to improve. One is your head, the other is your heart, and the third is your liver. If you can improve these three organs, this Paramchaitanya will act."
(Shri Ganesha Puja, Switzerland, 8/8/89)

Pasayadan

In the epilogue to the Jnaneshwari, known as the Pasayadan, the Maratha saint Jnaneshwara (1275-1296) desires mass-realisation for the entire world and the rebirth of the saints who will give their blessings (realisation) to the whole world.

May the all pervading Lord now be pleased
with this literary sacrifice of mine.
And being pleased may He grant me the following boon:

May the wicked give up their wickedness and develop a liking for good deeds
May all beings feel friendly with one another.
May the darkness of evil vanish
May the whole universe see the light, the sun of One Universal Religion.
May the desire of all human beings be fulfilled.

May the world be visited ceaselessly by the company of the faithful saints
Who would shower blessings on the earth.

Such men are the moving forests of Kalpataru trees
They are mines of wish-granting living jewels
They are vocal oceans of nectar.

They are moons without spots [without problems on the Ida Nadi]
suns without heat. [without problems on the Pingala Nadi]
Let such saints be friends to all.

Nadi Granth

The Nadi Granth was written in Sanskrit on lotus leaves possibly about 2000 years ago by the Indian astrologer, Bhrigumuni. Later updated and translated into Marathi by Acharya Kakayyar Bhujander Tatwacharya, c.300 years ago, being entitled Kak Nadi. In this extract the modern editor, Shantaram Athvale, refers to material in the Kak Nadi.

While Jupiter is in Pisces a great Yogi will reincarnate on the Earth. By 1970 it will have become quite evident to many people that a new era will have started. Kaliyuga will end and Kritayuga will start. The axis of the Earth will depress and the Earth’s orbit will come closer and closer to the Sun. Human life will undergo a complete revolution. A great Yogi will incarnate at this time.

Until this time a yogi or devotee could achieve the bliss of Moksha and find the ultimate meaning of his life only by following the path of devotion, knowledge and Patanjali Yoga, but he would have to go through severe penance in order to awaken the sleeping powers of various chakras of his body and finally enlighten the Kundalini Power.

By the new method of yoga devised by the great Yogi, human beings will be able to attain the joy of Moksha within one lifetime. It would no longer be necessary to sacrifice one’s body or to die in order to achieve Moksha. The Brahmananda, which so far only great saints had been able to experience, and then only by entering into the Samadhi state at the point of death, due to this new type of yoga could be achieved by ordinary human beings without entering Samadhi state while dying.

In the beginning it would be possible for one person among millions to attain this Yoga and Moksha, however, after some time the whole human race, with the help of this yoga, can overcome death. People won’t have to worry about food, shelter or clothing. While living ordinary lives, people will achieve Yoga - Union with God. There will be no necessity for hospitals as there will be no diseases.

In the beginning, the great Yogi will be able to heal diseases with a mere touch. Old age, with its destruction of the body, will not exist and people will possess heavenly bodies.

Due to new scientific discoveries science and religion would become one. With the help of science the existence of God and the Soul could be proved. The veil of ignorance and Maya would be drawn aside and Brahmananda, Moksha, which could previously only be attained by yogis as a result of very hard work and severe penance, would become easily available to many human beings.

Bliss

Advice given by H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi:

"People should see bliss working in us [the Sahaja yogis]. People should feel there is bliss. If a person is blissful, he looks blissful. He emits bliss. He radiates it. ...
Bliss can only come through gratitude. Only through enlarging your heart with gratitude. Bliss is the reward of gratitude. ...
Bliss comes to you through your confidence. If you have no confidence in yourself, bliss cannot be."
(The Culture of Universal Religion, Bordi, India, 7/2/85; Nirmala Yoga no.27)
