Now we all have realized by this time, that within us lies the peace, the beauty, the glory of our being. There’s an ocean of all that. We cannot seek it outside, we have to go within, what they call in the meditative state, you seek it, you enjoy it. Like when you are thirsty, you go to a river or you go to a ocean, and try to quench your thirst. But even the ocean cannot give you sweet water. So how can anything that is spread outside give you that deep thing that is within you? You are trying to find it outside, where it does not lie. It is within us, absolutely with in us. It is so simple because it is your own; it is within your reach, just there. What ever you have been doing, going out to find the joy, the so called joy, the so called happiness, the so called glory of worldly powers and worldly possessions, you have to reverse it back the whole thing. You have to project within yourself. It was not wrong that you went out, it was not correct that you went out, shouldn’t feel sorry for what you have done so far. It was not the correct way to get to the real joy of life, the real glory of your being. It has worked in so many people, that you have entered into that subtler understanding. Some people are only at a mental level maybe, doesn’t matter. Maybe, some are only at a physical level that they can feel it, doesn’t matter. But, you are on the correct lines, you are moving correctly.
Try to meditate, meditate more so that you reach your inner being. And this inner being, is the vast ocean of bliss, which exists in every one of us. Is that vast glorifying flood of light that floods everybody’s inner beauty. So to approach it, you have to go within yourself by denying things, which are against it, against your movement. Sometimes the wind can be very, very strong for you to misunderstand that the glory of God is within. The turn back: every moment remember that your movement has to be inward. When you move inward you forget the ideas of your outer glories. ...
It’s an individual journey towards God when you meditate, and when you reach there then you become collective. Before that, it’s an absolute individual journey within, absolutely individual journey. You should be able to see this. You are in this journey nobody is your relation, nobody is your brother, nobody is your friend, you’re absolutely alone, absolutely alone. You have to move alone within yourself. Don’t hate anyone, don’t be responsible, but in meditative mood you’re alone. No one exists there, you alone, and once you enter into that ocean then the whole world becomes your family. The whole world is your own manifestation. All the children become your children and you treat all people with equal understanding. The whole expansion takes place when you enter inside your Spirit and see, starting through the eyes of the Spirit. Such calm, such peace, such bliss exists within you. You have to be ready for that journey.
That journey is alone in your meditativeness and the more you find something in your meditation the more you want to go and distribute it to others. That has to, if that does not come into you, then it has not worked out. There is no purity, there’s some sort of a bias. In that individual pursuit, what ever you find, you want to enjoy it with others, you want to give it to others. This is the sign of a person who has been really meditating. The one who is meditative and has not been able to distribute what he has found, is cheating himself and cheating others as well. Because that joy that you receive in your meditation has to be distributed, has to be given, has to be shown. It should flow in your being as a light radiates from every illumined lamp. We don’t have to take a vow to say this is an enlightened light, in the same way, a saint should not be certified that he is a saint. The depth you achieve within yourself spreads all over, it is such an action and reaction. The more deeper you become the radiation is much more. A simple person, very ordinary person, uneducated person, can be like that. ...
Unless and until you become deeper we cannot save other Sahaja Yogis and we cannot save those who are not Sahaja Yogis. You have to rise higher and higher to pull the whole curtain up. Those who try to rise higher pull the whole thing upward and they give a pull to everyone who ascend with them. So just try to keep your aim clear cut. Must understand what is your aim in life as Sahaja Yogis. Now you are changed people. You are no more people who have to deal with possessions or worry about them, about mundane things, about your livelihoods. You are no more people who have to worry too much about your health and things or your personal lives. You are not also about your jobs so much, that’s not important and last of all not to worry about your family, children, husband, wife and find a pocket for you to hide into it. Because the only thing where you can really hide yourself is the love of God, where you can really get the great restful, blissful, feeling of his complete protection.
Sydney has done very well before and it’s progressing better, but the pace is not as it should be. So we have to think of new ways and methods how we can spread this. But first you must assume your positions as you are. You must assume that you are all saints that you have to do great work - not the ego part of it, but the manifestation of it. Every one of you has to decide for oneself. I’m sure it’s going to work out, and this time my visit is going to help you a lot by understanding what is the best to spread this light all over.
May God bless you.

Shri Lalita Chakra and Shri Chakra
It’s a remarkable thing how this Shri Chakra is here and how they have made the complete calculation of Shri Chakra. I met a scientist in Russia, in Moscow, who has done a research, very much big research on this Shri Chakra. Now, so we have Shri Chakra on the right side, on the left-hand side we have Lalita Chakra, so all the things that we do with hands after Realization are worked through, on the right-hand side, Shri Chakra, on the left-hand side, Lalita Chakra. Now how it works is a very complicated thing, but we don’t have to worry about that. As soon as you put your hand on somebody, the chakra knows how to work it out. It works by itself, as if it is a built-in mechanism within us, which knows what sort of vibrations to be given to a particular person for a particular cause, or a particular purpose. If that person has certain defects also, these chakras know what is to be emitted, how to work it out.
So it is not that we have the Kundalini awakening only, these chakras are awakened, we also have these two chakras awakened within us because of Kundalini.

The Fourteen Levels
God has created fourteen levels within us. If you simply count them, then you know that there are seven chakras within us. Beside these, there are two more chakras, about which you do not talk much. They are the Chakra of Moon (Lalita) and Chakra of Sun (Shri) . Then there is Hamsa Chakra. Thus, there are three more. Seven plus three makes ten. Then there are four chakras above Sahastrara. And about these chakras also I have told you: Ardha-bindu, Bindu, Valaya, and Pradakshina. These are the four. After coming to Sahaja Yoga and after your Sahastrara has opened, you have to pass through these four Chakras, Ardha-bindu, Bindu, Valay, and Pradakshina. After passing through these four chakras only you can say that you have become a Sahaja yogi.
And if you see from another angle, we have to cross fourteen stages in reaching up to Sahastrara. If you divide them then there are seven chakras situated on the Ida Nadi and seven on the Pingala Nadi. ...
This 'fourteen' is very important in Kundalini Shashtra (science). Very important. It's a very important thing. We should fully understand that we become entitled to the blessings of Sahaja Yoga only after rising above these fourteen stages.

Sahaja Yoga in Myanmar
The theme was music therapy and meditation.
We had 2 programs/seminar of four hours each. The first one had more than 300 people attending, with many being left out of the room and standing outside and the second one near in a loverly arrangement near the swimming pool with more than 100 people attending. We explained the basic of Sahaj and went on with the music therapy part, letting them feel vibrations of different kinds of music, having them sing notes, Aum...
The Burmese people were very interested, alert and extremely open to Sahaja Yoga. We found them to be very receptive, simple and innocent.
In Mandalay, I would dare say that the Sahaja Yoga program was one of the most exciting things happening around since long I guess, which really was a blessing for them and for us. We had such a deep joy and shared a feeling that something historical was happening: the first big opening of a new country who will provide us with wonderful brothers and sisters in the future, breaking the nationality barriers to unite all.
While the vibrations were heavy on the left side before the program, it got cleared very well in the first program, while on the second day the Sahastrara was completely opened all the time. Such a wonderful joy giving experience. I will never forget it as it feels my heart with deep beautiful emotions and vibrations every time I think about it.
We had a series of miracles pictures it seems with a chakra form appearing with lights a bit every where. It is quite interesting really. Please have a look...

The Window and the Door
There’s another kind of a stupid thing, that people ask you to meditate here [Shri Mataji points to her Agnya Chakra]. Is absolutely wrong. ... Nobody should put attention here. Instead, put attention at the Door [Shri Mataji is putting her hand onto her Sahastrara Chakra]. What’s the use of looking at a window? You can’t get out of it, can you? If you have to look at anything be on a lookout for the Door. And the Door is here. The Door of Sahastrara is to be opened out.

The Importance of Kundalini
There were many true nice saints but nobody ever talked about the Kundalini, nobody talked. Everybody talked about the self realization. But in you [the Sahaja Yogis] that Kundalini is seated.

The Chakras in Islam
"These Chakras are known as Alam or Latifa in Islam and in Sufism respectively.
One of the names of Allah is Al-Latif, which means the subtle one or the one who knows all subtleties.
Hence the word for Chakras used is Latifa which means subtle centre.
Chakras are indeed subtle centres which when awakened give a person his self-realisation."

In Sufism the Lataif are sometimes associated with the physical body.
Whilst attributions of Lataif to specific parts of the physical body can be found in Sufi writings, not all Sufis who use the lataif compare them to the chakras of the yogic subtle body. Lizzio (2007) maintains that the Naqshbandi sufis regard the lataif as having no fixed location and could be anywhere in the physical body, with the possible exception of the lataif for the heart. Harvat (1988) however gives six lataif and their locations in the physical body as used in the Mujaddidiyya branch of the Naqshbandi, named after the seventeenth century Sufi, Ahmad Sirhindi Mujaddid.
Harvat (1988) proposes that the Lataif are first found in the writings of the Turkestani Sufi, Najmuddin Kubra (1145-1220), founder of the Kubrawiyya order; and developed more fully in the writings of the Persian Sufi, Alaoddawleb Semnani (thirteenth - fourteenth century).
In India the lataif become associated with the chakras of the Nath yogis, as noted above. An early practitioner of this integration was Mohammad Ghawth (sixteenth century), a master of the Shattari order. (Harvat 1988).
A theory of the lataif as subtle spiritual centers is to be found in the writings of the Indian Sufi, Shah Waliullah of Delhi (1703-1762) (Hermansen 1988).

Techniques and Sahaja Yoga meditation
We might use a few simple techniques to enter a state of meditation and quieten the mind, but meditation is not only techniques. There is a kind of “letting go”; Sahaja Yoga Meditation does not require any mental concentration. On the other hand, there is no loss of control; one is completely “in charge” of one’s own meditation. (The ultimate goal, in fact, is more complete self-mastery, self-knowledge, and self-awareness.) Meditation does not involve physical exercises or mental effort.
(American Sahaja yogi)
Sahaja cannot be heard with the ears, neither can it be seen with the eyes;
It is not affected by air nor burnt by fire;
It is not wet in intense rain, it neither increases nor decreases,
It neither exists nor does it die out with the decay of the body;
The Sahaja bliss is only oneness of emotions – it is oneness in all.

Cool v. Ice-cold Vibrations
Some Sahaja yogis are being mislead into thinking that freezing vibrations indicate the truth. That is not so. Only cool vibrations show the truth. On the vibrational level, Ice-cold = Hot
extract from 1981-1029 Practical Session - London
"If it is freezingly cold that means left side - if you got very cold, you see? I mean, it can never be. Cool breeze is actually, is never very cool, it’s not freezing. ...
It is slightly less than your body temperature. It’s not so very cooling as to freeze you. If it is hot, then (also) something wrong with you."
H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, extract from Q+A after Talk on Subconscious and Supraconscious, London, 1981-0524
" You might feel extremely cool if you are a low blood pressure patient. If you are (a) left sided persons . . . if you are possessed, you feel absolutely cool, very cool. That's not good. Feeling cool is different from a cool breeze; like you feel a breeze coming. But should not be hot in any case. Hot is a very dangerous thing. If it is too hot, that heat , it's not good."
(Public Program, Houston, USA, 1986-0501)
"Now some people might feel absolutely cold, just like frozen, that’s also not a good sign that means you are left sided .Some of you may feel that kind of a thing. It’s not the feeling. Its the cold, is the point. It is the feeling of the cool breeze, is a breeze like feeling that you get."
(Public Program, Santa Cruz, USA, 1981-1018)
An English Sahaja yogi adds: I remember back in the early 80’s I was working on someone at a public meeting and I felt very cold vibrations coming from him, I had never felt this before and was slightly puzzled, so I went to Shri Mataji and asked her what it meant. She said: “It means they are going to die.” This made it very clear to me that cold was not good.
An American Sahaja yogi adds: This is an important issue, for it keeps coming up, over and over. I remember in Italy, a young supporter of G***o, saying that when the Italian yuvas checked the vibrations as to whether they should support G***o, or the World Council, the vibrations in favor of G***o were icy cold. This young man simply would not believe or accept that icy cold was as bad as hot.

Guru Nanak's Birthday
Guru Nanak spoke of one religion and through his life was a true example of an universal being. Where ever he travelled, he took on the form of his surroundings, preaching the same message, but in the language of the local people. He was also known to perform many miracles. When you read his teachings you see clearly that he is speaking of vibrations, of the paramchaitanya. In Sahaja Yoga we know Guru Nanak as one of the ten Primordial Masters.
Additionally Guru Nanak is known as the founder of the Sikh religion. Sikh actually means to learn. The Guru Granth Sahib which is the holy book of the Sikh religion contains much of the teachings of Guru Nanak, as well as those of earlier saints such as Kabir and Namdev.( Mohan)

Beauty and the Artist
H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi: But to a person who is a realized soul in a real way, he doesn’t see, I mean, you don’t smell anything dirty. You always smell something good. You never smell, you do not think of anything dirty. Everywhere you go, it’s beautiful. Even if you see just the sand, you see the pattern. Even if you see a barren hill ...
I saw some people who had gone I said, “Look at the beauty of these hills, in Maharashtra.”
They said, "Mother, what is the beauty? It’s not covered with trees."
I said, “That's the beauty, just see the patterns.”
They couldn’t see the patterns that I was seeing. But if you ask me, "What is this hill?” I also know that. Because I know the patterns of all the hills, how it has moved, how it has made patterns and things like that.
Because they don’t see that, you see, they cannot see the beauty because they are looking out for defects. Or relatively, you see, "English trees are better than say X, Y, Z trees. So then this is not better." The relative they start. But you are at absolute point, you are getting the absolute of everything. Everything is your own. What is there to judge?
Sahaja yogi: Mother, perhaps you can see the beauty because you are the artist.
Shri Mataji: I am the artist and I am the art. But what about you? Who are you? You are the one who is created, and you can create, and you can become the artist.
That’s what I am saying: that you are not only the light, but the light that will give light to others. And also you will sustain that light which you have given light. This is the difference now, between you and other people. Not that only you will be the artist, but you'll enjoy the art of the artist. This is what you have got, you don’t know, you are not aware of your powers. It’s a dynamic thing which has happened to you, which you should take to.

Jesus Christ was born at Diwali
The symbol of Mahalakshmi for me is Mary, for you it is Mahalakshmi is the symbol. And the symbol of Ganesha outside is Christ. He is symbolizing Ganesha. So, both of them are worshipped only on Diwali. Actually this is the Christmas. This is the real Christmas that was before also, and this was the time baby Christ was born, not the 25th of December. Though it's a misunderstanding, doesn't matter, keep it up. Doesn't matter, whenever He's born, because there used to be a very big festival, and after the festival He was born, called as Valaanan. I don't know what you call in modern times, that time it was called like that. And then this child was born and that was the time Christmas was celebrated. It was just tallying with that, but somehow it shifted, I don't know how, how it shifted. And there might be somewhere you'll find out that real Christmas was shifted.

A Prayer
Watching the election results yesterday here in Sydney, Australia, and watching Obama win, a very strong prayer came in my heart, "Oh Mother don't let another redneck come along and assassinate him".
This was also a fear shared by my colleagues at work.
Could we collectively please ask Our Mother for the protection of Barack Obama to allow him to do his work for the people of America.
